so i was basically freaking out yesterday. i was about ready to give the entire NICU a piece of my mind, aided by a whirlwind of flailing fists and loud four-letter words. no matter how much anyone tells you that a premature child is going to have his ups and downs, successes and setbacks, the first one hits you very hard. thankfully, one of our most favorite nurses came and lovingly told us what was up and did so with a positive outlook. she appears to be quite right. today he was able to start being weaned down on the Hi-Fi respirator and started trickling in the breast milk. he just looks really good today, bigger even. we're praying he continues forward and can be weaned back down to a conventional respirator and then back down to just the oxygen bubbler. but, as always, one day at a time. not to get ahead of ourselves. thanks for your fervent prayers. -love-

Yeah,its been a crazy couple weeks for you huh? BUT you have held up really well, and been so strong. We still are praying for your strength and for Conleys strength. He will continue to be covered in all our prayers. We LOVE you, stay strong.
Conley, my lil man, Auntie loves you so much, so so much. You are my special lil guy. Fighting all odds and all wordly expectations. You touch the deepest parts of your aunties heart. You keep going Conley, you keep fighting. Auntie is praying for you with everything I am. I am continuing to pray for you all during this. That you will be of good courage because the Lord is your strength. I know that this time is not easy but remember that God's path is through the water sometimes not around it (Ps. 77:19) God has a great plan for you and Conley. Keep strong.
