medical insubordination

thanks so much for your prayers about conley's breathing. after i posted the blog at 11:00pm last night, 4 hours later, he pulled his own breathing tube out of his mouth and started to breathe on his own. no joking here. i called up at 8 this morning and he had been breathing without the respirator since then. the nurse seemed quite amazed and i think she thought we'd be upset. quite the contrary. she said he'd probably tire himself out this first time around and have to get back on the respirator, but it's definitely a really amazing step. thanks again for your prayers. one day at a time.

good to see that you're baby is taking control of things. i hope that this will also be a testimony to the power of God to the doctors and the nurses by the time this ordeal is over.

Hello Mighty Monroes,
I love it when God intervenes for His people... even the doctors are left without words. Praise be to the Great Physician. I marveled and praised God when I read about mr.Conley saying "enough is enough" with the breathing tube. I am continuing to pray that he will be able to get along just fine without it.

Beth, you are so cute with that poofy blue hat. Watch out, you might just start a fashion trend. I am glad that you are home and healing. I am so proud of you my friend, keep on smiling.

Ty, dude you ROCK! I praise God for faithful husbands who love, encourage, support, and who shoulder so much responsibility. May God continue to strengthen you as you continue to lead and guide your family according to His will.

You are in our prayers continually.
